i have a disagreement: psalm 24

I have a disagreement
With a certain Roman Emperor,
Whose name is Marcus Aurelius,
In many ways he was the best of us.

Yet he maintains perfect calm
Can be restored
By retreating into the mind.

He misses a basic fact.

The oceans, the birds, the trees,
Are what humans deeply need.
To reconnect to our godly soul,
We must touch God's creation,
That's how we make ourselves whole.

We are one and the same,
The untouched wild and us,
We were all made by the One above,
And blessed.
