imagine god didn't hide his face: psalm 10
With love, and in memory, of Rabbi Jonathan Sacks, z''l
Imagine that God didn't hid his face,
What would become of the human race?
Would we get lazy, relax, waiting for the next divine attack?
It would be lame laying all the blame
On the big guy in the sky.
With God hidden from His world,
It makes us focus on His word
To try our best, to never rest,
To be human, to endlessly race,
To make this space a better place.

למה ה׳ תעמד ברחק (תהילים י:א)
Why do you stand, O God, at a distance? (Psalms 10:1)
Inspired by Rabbi Sacks's answer to why bad things happen to good people.
